Mad's Princess Wall....

The past couple of weeks I have been working on adding to mad's picture frame wall. She absolutely ADORES princesses, so I printed the pictures off the internet and got old frames from the DI... ( a thrift store in town) and redid some. It took me forever!!! I realize that I hate spray painting. It's so tedious. You have to spray the primer and let it dry. Then do your first layer and let it dry. Its too much for me. But it's done. YEA!!!

Thanks to Pineterst I've discovered that I'm absolutely OBSESSED with picture framed covered walls. I think every room should have at least one. This is Mad's. Her room is by far my favorite.

All of the frames I bought were at most a $1. I left some the original color but painted most. We use the Krylon spray paint. It always goes nice and smooth and the nozzle turns depending on which angle you are painting. If you think some of them are crooked they truly are. Madison always takes them off the wall or is touching them. She loves her wall of princesses. Hope you enjoy!

Tractor Fun

This weekend we went to Scott's parents house so he could help them fix a rain gutter that got blown off. Does this look safe?....

I don't think so. But Scott was in heaven. He got to drive tractor. What more could he ask for?

While the boys did that Mad helped Grandma plant flowers. Her idea of planting flowers was to rip the head off and throw it into the bowl of dirt. Go Mad!

Preschool Program

Madison had a preschool program last night. She did so AWESOME!! We had dinner and the kids sang 3 songs all about reading. There was painting, a sensory table, horse rides... so much to do. She loved it! I was a very proud Mama. She has only been in this daycare for about a month now but she stayed in the line and sang the songs. There were a few times she ran back to us.... only to grab a handful of chips. I guess we were hungry :0) It was a lovely night. Good job Mad! Mommy is so proud!

Grocery Bag Kites

Today Mad wanted to go outside and play. It was slightly windy and I had been wanting to fly kites for awhile but I had no desire to pull out her never been used kite.... so I opted for a cheap version of kite flying.... a grocery bag. All you need is....

And voila.... you have a kite! Now, of course as soon as we went outside the wind died down and Madison wasn't in the mood to participate. So the bag sat on the ground. BUT it does work! The wind picked up for a quick minute and I flew it. But it's very hard to fly a kite AND take a picture. I'm not that coordinated. But give it a try! Hopefully your kids will be more willing to play!

Coffee Filter Butterflies

Last night Mad and I got a little crafty. We decided to make some butterflies out of coffee filters. They are so easy and fun. Mad loves anything with paint so this was right up her ally. All you need is paint, a brush, coffee filters, pipe cleaners and a cute kid to do all the work! The coffee filters and pipe cleaners are from the dollar store. If you don't have paint you can color them with markers and spray them with a spray bottle so the ink runs. I'm pretty sure Mad colored her skin more than the filters but that's ok. She was happy! All you do is paint the filters, let them dry and then twist the pipe cleaners around it to look like wings. Easy!

We're back...

Long time no blog!... Things are going good for us. Nothing too new or exciting. D is growing up so fast! He's 6 months now. HOLY CRAP! How did this happen? He is the most chill baby ever. He is always smiling. The happier he is the more far out he sticks his tongue out. He is rolling over and close to sitting up on his own. Mad is as smart as ever. She is talking a ton and knows her ABC's and can count to 10. She knows all her colors. Life is good!

Mad only looked at the camera because I threatened to take away her yarn. Is that mean of me?
